Installation of Brewers Hill Middle School air conditioning for server room:

Orion air conditioning & refrigeration ltd were asked to  install new air conditioning heat-pump units for the Brewers Hill Middle School, Bedfordshire. Brewers Hill Middle School is a 1950's Building with around 100 meters/Squared of IT classroom area that needed cooling.

What  units were installed in Brewers Hill Middle School air conditioning heat-pump project:

1 x  Mitsubishi Electric MSH-GA50VB Wall Mounted (5 kW /17000Btu) Air Conditioning (wide and long airflow) Air Conditioning heat pump units which provided enough cooling for the large IT area in the building. These units have a amazing COP 3.65 initial input on  which means that every 1000w of electrical energy going in produces 3650 watts of cooling. Background of the Brewers Hill Middle School air conditioning heat-pumps:

The school was quoted on various cooling systems including but the Mitsubishi air conditioning systems provided a great value way of cooling within a short space of time and with little cost and also reduces CO2 emissions.

Brewers Hill Middle School air conditioning efficiency and CO2 emissions:

This school air conditioning systems,  took around half a hour to cool fully but once cool the outdoor unit only ran intermittently because the temperature  had been reached therefore just pumping small amounts of cooling in to maintain temperature. The 100msq area was consuming 10 Amps/phase on 1phase 240V supply. This works out to be around 20p/hour to heat this area and reduced CO2 emissions by at least 40%..

Brewers Hill School installation criteria:

This school air conditioning heat-pump installation was undertaken by lead engineer Sean Handley with assistance from installation engineer Geza Toth,  (both employed and trained by Orion).  All pipe and services were installed on the outside of the building on cable tray. The school air conditioning heat-pump units have a life span of around 15 to 25 years depending on their use.  Installation time 4 days.
